This is why I hate George Carlin. Everything he says sounds great at first but if you think about it at all you realize it’s complete crap. If I vote for Obama and Romney gets elected I have EVERY right to complain. If you sit at home and vote for neither candidate you have no right to complain about how Romney is fucking you over. “But what if who you vote for wins?” Well then chances are I probably won’t complain. And if I do it won’t be about the person I voted for but about the people who are preventing him from doing what he wanted to do. Which is EXACTLY what happened when Obama got elected in 2008. Contrary to what you may want to think not every politician is a greedy blood sucking fiend. So don’t tell me I’m the problem for at least trying to change something. You’re the one who decided to allow other people to decide who leads your country.
So according to you, if I refuse to vote for Obama/Romney or refuse to vote at all, I cannot complain about the system that’s fucking me over regardless of who’s in office? Get off your fucking high horse and stop using citizens who don’t vote as a scapegoat because you’re ignorant enough to believe that voting should be mandatory.
Have you ever stop to think that not everyone wants a wealthy and privileged stranger to ‘lead’ their country or that the current system isn’t supported by everyone? Judging by your poor argument and shit logic, I’m assuming you didn’t.
You may think that voting ever few years qualifies as a participatory government, but I don’t. Good luck trying to ‘change something’ by doing the least you can and writing on a fucking paper.
